Sheridan Oman

  The late Sheridan Oman, painter and printmaker has been drawing and painting wildlife since childhood.  He was born in 1926 on a farm in New Jersey.  He studied art under George Grosz and Kenneth Hayes Miller at the Art Students League in New York City.

The last twenty five years he lived in Arizona, observing the wildlife of the desert.

For two years he worked as staff artist at the Bronx Zoo and for eleven years as staff artist at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.
