Dan Howe creates
drawings and paintings for corporations, universities, public
institutions and private collectors. He paints in a
broad variety of subjects, usually
in oil.His subjects are characterized by strong effects
of light and shadow interlaced with background tones. This style
is commonly referred to most painters as a "pattern" or "lost
and found" approach. Howe's work also pay's particular attention
to tonal edges and color harmonies. Detail, while not
photographic, is ample.

he recieved a scholarship and later a fellowship at Syracuse
